But First, Cocktails!

Wait, isn’t the quote, “but first, coffee”? *shrug*

COCKTAILS ALL AROUND!!!!!!

If you know me outside of this blog life, you know that I have a deep love coffee any time of day. And clearly, according to my blog name, I love a good happy hour. And happy hours that involve not just insane amounts of shopping but that have actual alcohol. Ultimately, this usually ends up with me shopping anyway. Every month or so, I am going to highlight a cocktail recipe that I enjoy! First up, I thought I would combine my love of coffee and alcohol. This is a real win for all involved…haha. Make them for your next party or for yourself because why not? It’s the freakin’ weekend!

Baileys Flat White Martini

2oz Baileys Original Irish Cream

1oz Vodka

1oz Espresso

Ice

Fill your shaker with ice. Then pour your shots of Baileys and your choice of vodka. (I was out of my fav Tito’s and had to go with what we had..sorry fellow Texans!) I felt like the cocktail was a little sweet so you can play around with adding more vodka than just a shot if you would like. After you have all your alcohol in the shaker, add the espresso. If you are like me and do not have a fancy espresso maker and just live with your ever-so wonderful Keurig, have no fear!! The best way to make espresso on a Keurig is buying the Green Mountain Coffee Dark Magic  K-cups and brew this on your lowest setting (usually 4 or 6) and BAM, espresso! Add this to your shaker, close it up and shake away. Pour your wonderfully, amazing coffee cocktail into your martini glass and have a blast. This cocktail is easy, and one of the best I have enjoyed in a long time.

That’s all for this post but it is full of fun inducing information! I would love to know your thoughts if you try this cocktail and as always drink responsibly!

Holidays are going to be a little more cheerful with one of these martinis in hand! Cheers, friends!
